System Problems
1. The entire system will not operate:
- Check the 120 volt outlet to
ensure you have power to that outlet.
- Check the timer switch on the
power console (transformer) to be sure it is on.
- Check or reset the circuit
breakers on the power console.
- Check the low voltage cable
connection at the power console.
- Check the photocell.
2. The circuit breaker on the power console (transformer)
trips:
- Check the end of the of the cable to ensure copper
strands are not touching.
- Check the connection of the cable at the power console
- Recalculate the total wattage to ensure you have not
exceeded the rated wattage of the transformer
- Check for other "shorts" at the fixture
connection points.
Fixture Problems
1. Fixture will not light:
- Check the lamp for a broken filament
- Check lamp for proper fit in socket
- Check connector to cable to ensure the pins have
pierced the wire insulation into the copper strands.
2. Fixture has moisture build up inside of it:
- Check to ensure the shrouds and lens rings are properly
installed.
- Check the gaskets to see if they are clean and no
debris is between the gasket and housing.
- Check drainage holes for blockage.
- Refer to the installation instructions for exact
fixture .
3. The fixture is on, but dim:
- Check voltage at fixture with a volt meter to ensure
it's receiving a minimum of 10.8 volts.
- Check the total wattage calculation. Use lower
wattage lamps or remove 1 or 2 fixtures from the circuit or connect to a
higher voltage terminal.
